Letters Of Thanks
Probus Mapledurham Tour

Dear Jane and Corry,
Thank you so much for your massive input into making yesterday’s visit a success.
The cream tea was excellent, the homemade scones were delicious and Jane’s organisation in managing the large numbers in the tearoom was superb.
The tour of the church, watermill and Archimedes screw turbine were expertly managed and made so interesting by Corry’s depth of knowledge about the venues – we loved the amusing anecdotes.
Please pass on our thanks to the staff at Thames River Cruisers for their contribution in making the cruise both enjoyable and interesting.
Again, many thanks to you both
Best regards
Keith & Peter
VISIT 21 June

Dear Jane

On behalf of the members of the SWANMOG Centre of the Morgan Sports Car Club I am writing to offer you and your husband Corry, a very big thank you for hosting an extremely enjoyable afternoon at Mapledurham Estate.

From our arrival, the sight of our Morgans parked on the sweeping driveway fronting Mapledurham House set the scene for an enjoyable afternoon of education, entertainment, and relaxation.

Corry’s very entertaining and informative narrative of the history of the estate, as we toured St Margarets Church, the Watermill and the Archimedes Screw Turbine, made compelling listening and enthralled us all.
Then, following retail engagement in the shop, the cream tea you provided in the restored coach house was, as one member said, ‘simply scrumptious’!

The afternoon was an overwhelmingly success, from our journey to Mapledurham village in brilliant sunshine, and the tour itself. To visit Mapledurham on such a beautiful day and take in the breath-taking scenery was delightful.  The history lessons and enlightenment on sustainability and how the estate is adapting for the future are a credit to everyone engaged with these activities and we thank you for sharing this experience.

We are very privileged to have permission for Mr Eyston to park our Morgans on his driveway, as he rested in his porch we hoped he enjoyed his view that afternoon.
Please pass our gratitude to Mr Eyston.

Yours sincerely

MG Wanderers Visit

Hi Jane and Corry.
Thank you so much for making our visit so memorable. I have had more comments back from my group than ever before about how much they enjoyed the day. The shortbread "Nibbles" were wonderful and what can I say about your talk, Corry? It was really informative but so very interesting. (I've never known the group keep quiet for so long.)

After five years of visiting different venues, some have said this was the best ever. Quite an achievement and very much down to you both!

I hope your back is better today. It must have been agony standing all morning.

Once again, very many thanks and I'll check with them next month what they remembered from your talk... fish have nothing to fear from Archimedes screw turbines!!!

Kindest regards
Gill (and Richard)

Hi Corry, thank you both so much for your very animated tour of the Mill.  All of the group said how much they enjoyed it and Mapledurham certainly made a brilliant half way stop for us.  We were so blessed with the weather that made the setting even better.  We had a brilliant run back and a great lunch so everyone has gone home happy!

Hope to meet up with you again sometime.  Wishing you well with your on going project.

Thanks again.
